Alright I'll start by doing alittle recap, back in October on the 14th I made my last posting thus far on this great series by Kanoko Sakurakouji. From what you can see, YES!! I finally found the cover artwork in english. Plus I also added some other info so that you can read this manga online!
Now their are so many questions that could be asked right now. Cause we're walking into the last Volume of this series. But sadly the only question I'm going to answer and can for that matter is about everyone asking "ANIME" I added a YouTube video below that I found. And is a great view into this series. Personal View:
I couldn't help myself I found another series by Kanoko Sakurakoji that I just had to read. I completely adore her artwork. I believe this 2 volume series was one of her first manga. Which after this came Black Bird which started its print in the US back in 2007 - On going. The reason why I am recommending that you read it, is because it very much is a great opener to Black Bird. Though the stories aren't anywhere near the same. Don't get me wrong though, I can totally relate to this series in so many ways.
We've all seen that "Hot Guy" from back in high school that could totally be a model, that all the girls just want. In poor little Akari's case its more of a mishap that this opportunity happens or could you possibly call it fate all because of a little black cat called Mr. Ken. That she gets to spend time with this "Prince Like" Ryusei from school. But in the world of kabuki theatre he's known as Shonosuke Ichimura, the internationally famous actor.
Yes, their is a decent amount of drama will say in this series even though its some what about acting. It is written out very well, and also shows how some teens would be having problems in a new type age of trying to date. Facing struggles to balance their relationship, personal lives, careers, along with family that has its ways of traditions.

Kabuki(歌舞伎) is a classical Japanese dance-drama. Kabuki theatre is known for the stylization of its drama and for the elaborate make-up worn by some of its performers.
The individual kanji characters, from left to right, mean sing (歌), dance (舞), and skill (伎). Kabuki is therefore sometimes translated as "the art of singing and dancing". These are, however, ateji characters which do not reflect actual etymology. The kanji of 'skill' generally refers to a performer in kabuki theatre. Since the word kabuki is believed to derive from the verb kabuku, meaning "to lean" or "to be out of the ordinary", kabuki can be interpreted as "avant-garde" or "bizarre" theatre. Exactly one year prior to the beginning of DearS, humanity
made unprecedented contact with extraterrestrial life. Forced to crash
land into Tokyo Bay when, en route to their home planet of Thanatos,
their spacecraft breaks down, 150 humanoid aliens are naturalized into Japanese society and affectionately nicknamed "DearS"; a portmanteau of the words "Dear" and "Friends".
Takeya Ikuhara is a temperamental seventeen-year-old Japanese student
attending the fictitious Koharu High School with a strong prejudice
against the DearS. Due to a childhood scare, he believes that the aliens
are fake, worthless beings that have generated nationwide overhype.
On his way home from school he discovers a homeless DearS who, after
fainting and much to his annoyance, he feeds and shelters in his

around, however, and over time, realizing Ren's genuine care and empathy
for him, Takeya has a change of heart. Unfortunately, because Ren is
deemed defective, DearS headquarters orders her arrested.
DearS(ディアーズDiāz) is a manga series co-written and illustrated by Banri Sendo and Shibuko Ebara, credited under their pen name Peach-Pit. It was serialized monthly by Media Works in their magazine Dengeki Comic Gao!
from March 2002 to December 17, 2005 and was later published into a ten
volume set by the company. The manga was licensed and translated into
English by Tokyopop. A 13-episode anime was adapted by MSJ and a PlayStation 2 video game was produced by MediaWorks.
Personal View:
This was one of my most favorite Manga and Anime series growing up. Even now I enjoy going back and rewatching the Anime series. It's very entertaining, and funny. You can watch all the episodes on YouTube, I will gladly list a few below so you can check it out. Sadly though this series is now longer in print. Or available on DVD. Episode One: I Want to Nibble Sweetly

Description:
Crossing over a bridge, an unidentified box truck overturns at the sight
of a stray cat in the road, spilling a human capsule from its cargo
(which shows Exposition).
On his way back from school, Takeya encounters and rescues a mysterious
Dears from being run over by a delivery truck. After proclaiming
servility to him, and then shortly fainting, he takes her to his
apartment where she is washed, clothed, fed melonpan and given the name Ren. Meanwhile back at the bridge, Rubi and Khi discover the lost capsule.
Episode Two: Was It Too Small?
Original Airdate: July 17, 2004
Description:
After a nightmarish and erratic morning, Neneko mistakenly discovers Ren
during an unexpected visit, and examining the situation, assigns Takeya
the job of teaching her Japanese. He indifferently teaches her nothing
and eventually falls asleep, during which time Ren telepathically learns
all the material and gains the ability to speak the language, though in
a slightly broken manner. In this more fluent condition, Neneko and
Takeya bring Ren to a mall to shop for new clothes. Elsewhere, Miu
finishes up her admission to Koharu High with Khi.
Episode Three: Ball! Ball!
Original Airdate: July 24, 2004
Description:
Miu acquaints with her assigned homestay, an elderly couple she
warmheartedly calls her grandparents. Meanwhile, after being scolded by
Takeya for her nakedness, Ren decides to clean the apartment by
defenestrating his furniture and trash; Neneko empathetically awarding
her yesterdays shopping change in return. Xaki instructs Nia to
apprehend Ren. The following morning Ren visits the market, and drawn by
the scent of melonpan, buys a bag of it; Nia botching her capture and
leaving absentmindedly. Ren affectionately visits Takeya at school,
causing an uproar that settles when she is believed to be a substitute
for Miu. Tired and confused, Takeya and Ren retreat home.
Episode Four: Wipe Your Mouth
Original Airdate: July 31, 2004
Description:
Ren begins her first day of school and assimilates quite nicely; she is
well respected and admired by everyone. When Miu arrives, only to learn
of her replacement, she charges Ren; refusing to coincide with her as
the student diplomat. In response, the school holds three duels: a 100 yard dash, a liberal arts
test and a cookoff. While Miu effectively wins 3-1, she mournfully
forfeits the last challenge. Nevertheless, the principle asks both girls
to stay; Miu vowing to watch Ren attentively.
Episode Five: Partners?
Original Airdate: August 7, 2004
Description:
Detached and confused about Ren, Takeya grows increasingly rash towards
her. Miu helps to explain the situation and supervises her after class.
That night, Khi visits Miu to collect information on Ren while, back at
the apartment, uncontrollably aroused by her body, and sensing this, Ren
straddles a distraught Takeya.
Episode Six: I Am So Frustrated!
Original Airdate: August 14, 2004
Description:
Takeya stops Ren from sexually advancing, calling it too soon. Slightly
awkward from this, he distances himself from her for most of the day.
Miu invites herself to reform Ren by showing her to cook and gaily
decorating the apartment. As Takeya throws out the flashy new room
additions, he is hastily tackled by his stepsister, Natsuki Ikuhara.
Episode Seven: Pervert
Original Airdate: August 21, 2004
Description:
Takeya, Natsuki, Neneko and Ren spend time walking around an amusement
park, then return home. When Natsuki misunderstands Ren and Takeya's
cohabitation, she becomes aggressively jealous toward Ren and tries to
drive her off. Both girls eventually makeup, but not before Harumi
arrives to ferociously pickup her daughter. At an airport, relations
patched, Neneko, Takeya and Ren bid goodbye to Harumi and Natsuki as
they depart to catch a flight. Miu summons Khi and tells him she has
plans to drop out of school.
Episode Eight: M... My Ball

Description:
In a flashback a man lies on a floor grossly hemorrhaging as Miu
desperately tries but fails to stop it. Back in school, Miu, still
feeling inferior to and jealous of Ren, challenges her to another
contest; a Dears game called Palaga. During the game, Miu and Takeya
fall into a water well, and unable to immediately leave, sit and talk
about the Dears enslavement and Miu's past; the man from the previous
sequence being her ex-master who was gunned down. Overcoming her past,
and discovering the well is in the back of her homestay, Miu flies them
both out; Takeya met by an overjoyed Ren.
Episode Nine: It Hurt A Little
Original Airdate: September 4, 2004
Description:
Walking back from school with Ren and Neneko, it is revealed that
Takeya's fear of aliens stems from watching science-fiction horror films
as a child. That afternoon, Neneko has Ren and Miu model a costume
wardrobe she has; politely refusing to model any herself. Takeya's sharp
opinion to this offends Neneko who leaves; Takeya unapologetic. The
following day, although Neneko seems casual and unhurt, Takeya has a
guilty conscience, and by the end of the day, apologizes for his
rudeness.
Episode Ten: Is It A Golden Ball?

Description:
While browsing the market, Miu participates in a lottery and,
unknowingly rigged for her, wins the top prize; four tickets to a newly
opening bathhouse. She invites Takeya, Ren and Neneko who all agree to
go; Nia following. During the stay, when separated into unisexual baths,
Ren goes searching for Takeya; Nia flying through a high window and
passing out from the fall. With Yoshimine distracting the commotion, the
group escapes the building. Seen aboard an incoming flight is Harumi
and Natsuki.
Episode Eleven: Lets Have an Orgy!

Description:
Natsuki and Harumi visit Takeya and Ren at the apartment. At school that
morning, Yoshimine announces that students who have failed three or
more classes must spend all of the following week being tutored. In
response, Neneko, Ren, Miu and Hikoro go to Takeya's apartment to study
together; misunderstood by Yoshimine as an orgy. Takeya leaves to get
the group snacks, meeting Nia who he talks with. As Natsuki finds her
brother, misinformed by Yoshimine, the market draws attention to a
stranded kitten atop a power line pole; retrieved by Nia and saved by
Natsuki. Both girls return with Takeya to the apartment where Khi visits
to retrieve Nia.
Episode Twelve: Do You Want To Experience It?

Description:
During school, Khi visits Miu to inform her that Ren's confirmation
ceremony is to be annulled. After two embarrassing incidents, Takeya
distances himself from her; being asked by Yoshimine to fetch class
textbooks. Ren goes to collect the material but goes into the wrong
room; meeting Hirofumi. Talking out her sexual interests, Hirofumi feels
led on and embraces Ren; interrupted by Takeya who finds her. Coming
back from work to Khi and Miu, he is informed that Ren is to be
recalled. As Takeya sits in shock, Xaki locates Ren in the market.
Episode Thirteen: Furthermore It Was Hot

Description:
In the apartment, Khi explains to Takeya in detail the reason for the
recall. Back at the market, Xaki gives chase to Ren but is dissuaded
when a mob of storekeepers come to her aid. As Ren returns and settles
home, confused and indecisive, Takeya divorces ownership of her; Khi
scheduling to pick her up the next day. At school, as Ren gives her
farewells, she eludes Khi and is pursued by Xaki once more. Upset at
this, the entire school assembles to help; Yoshihime motorcycling Takeya
to Ren. Following a scuffle with Xaki, Takeya emphatically changes his
mind and makes it his final decision to be Ren's master.

Their are 366 episodes in the Anime series. It used to be on Adult Swim at night. I'm not sure if its still airing on that channel or not. Here are just a couple of what the seasons look like. From what I know you can still buy them in store or online. You just have to look around. When buying these be sure to check the numbering of the episodes in the package. Since I am completely obsessed with the first series of vampire bund, I couldn't help but not want to read this new series. From reading about it, it sounds like it would be very interesting. I can't wait to see how this will turn out. It's on my reading list!! Right now its sitting in the stack of Manga I've got, waiting so patiently for me. "Sad Face" It will have to wait its turn for me to read it. Along with the other new series which isn't out yet. Just so you know you can pick up these volumes at Barns and Noble. When I got my copies they had a bunch of them. But as of right now please don't quote me about the stores status of volumes. "Call before you go."
